Show hidden files

They are hidden because Apple would rather you did not poke them. We are going to look anyway.

⌘⇧.

Toggles the dotfiles and system folders the Mac hides by default. You will need it the first time you touch a config file, and it toggles straight back off.

Do this now

In your home folder, press ⌘⇧. and count how many things appear that you had never seen. Press it again to hide them.
